Who We Are
Worland Aquatic Center (WAC) is a non-profit organization here to serve the people of Worland, Washakie County residents, and guests visiting the Big Horn Basin. Our facility is governed by a Joint Powers Board, representing the City of Worland, Washakie County, and Washakie County School District #1 on behalf of the community.

Our Management Team
Hi, my name is Robin Brown and I am the Assistant Manager here at the Worland Aquatic Center. Although I’ve been a lifeguard since high school, in 2014 I returned to the Big Horn Basin and was recruited to become a lifeguard for WAC. Interests developed toward managing the chemical and mechanical aspects of running the pool, and so, I became a CPO (Certified Pool Operator). I also became a LGI (lifeguard instructor) to begin training new guards. As a former teacher, I love working with kids and watching them grow. I enjoy being a part of this positive and safe environment here at the WAC, and like being able to contribute to this family-friendly setting.
Howdy! 🙂 My name is Amber and I have been the Head Lifeguard of the WAC since fall of 2017. Originally from Southern California, I became a seasonal lifeguard in 2007 and have worked at camps and aquatic centers ever since. Eleven years of public education and 8 years in EMS has proven to be valuable experience for serving our patrons and staff members. I am a certified CPR and Lifeguarding instructor through American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. As Head Lifeguard, my goal is to make sure your safety is our top priority.
